Laguna & Cerro Torre

El Chalten

Next to the Fitz Roy, this is the other major trekking area, which ends in a beautiful view of the world's most difficult mountains, Cerro Torre. The trail starts from the village, with a slight slope in the first few minutes, walking along the river course named Fitz Roy. At 20 minutes, amazed to see the Fitz Roy River Canyon, and see beautiful waterfalls. From here, you begin to have beautiful views of Cerro Torre. Then you reach the first viewpoint, which is ideal for the first rest stop (at 1.30 hs from El Chalten) and also see Cerro Torre, its glaciers and the Adelas cord. If we return to Chalten from this viewpoint, would be a 3 hours trekking, ideal for travelers or groups who wish to engage in short. After that, walk (about 1 hour) through a beautiful valley, with a few undulations, reaching Base Camp De Agostini, which will surely be the elite of climbers from around the world, waiting to climb the tower. It follows a few minutes of walking, to reach the Lagoon Torre, with a magnificent view of Cerro Torre, Egger flanked by needles, and Standhard,  Bifida and the Adelas cord with its stunning glaciers spilling into the lagoon. Then he heads back down the same path. Note: If passengers have energy, you can extend the visit from Laguna Torre  to the "Mirador Maestri", is 2 miles, about 45 minutes along the lake for up to the limit of vegetation, which forms a natural balcony on the glacier and Laguna Torre.
