Circuito chico
Bariloche
Bariloche at first sight
It is almost mandatory that the first tour that takes place in Bariloche is famous Circuito Chico, not only because it shows representative places of mountain landscape , but also because in half a day you can see and fall in love with this city.
The tour begins downtown, more precisely on Ezequiel Bustillo Avenue, a winding path that runs along the lake Nahuel Huapi.
In the first section, in addition to urban architecture, the tour passes by the houses of pioneers, by the Yacht Club and the Melipal neighborhood. As one moves away from the buildings, the landscape begins to change to appreciate the flora and cypress forests, maitenes, coihues and ñires, among other typical trees. In summer, this road takes on a vibrant red and yellow color from rosehip bushes, plants of blackberries, raspberries and broom blooming in abundance.
At kilometer 17 is the base of Cerro Campanario, which has a height of 1,050 meters and, through a chairlift, you can access its summit. At the 24th kilometer, we begin to make out the San Eduardo Chapel, Pañuelo Port and Llao Llao Hotel. Remodeled and fully operational, the classical hotel is one of the most famous postcards of Bariloche, with panoramic views of the national park and lakes Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno. After passing through Villa Tacul and Lake Escondido, leads to the binding of lakes Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno, which crosses the Narrows Bridge, located on the river of the same name. This is the ideal place to take a break and go down to the rocky beaches of both lakes, 150 meters one from to the other. The circuit also shows the cemetery Highlander, the village of the Swiss settlers and finally the panoramic lookout point or Lake Moreno, at kilometer 40.
The way back begins at the El Trebol lagoon to the junction with Av Bustillo, which leads back to the city center. Thus, in just 60 kilometers one can admire lakes, mountains and native forests of singular beauty. This tour can be combined with the excursion to Cerro Catedral, or Victoria Island and Myrtle Forest.
Optional: Campanario Hill Chairlift
Once on the chairlift, the green hues of nature almost dazzled us. The view was breathtaking all the way up to the top. As we got off the chairlift, we had to pay much attention.
Once at the summit, the view was impressive. Amazing. We spotted Mount López and the small villages in the surroundings. Green became more and more intense and the water bodies appear all around.
Most visitors cannot help taking photographs of the cypress forests that “hold up” the mountain. Others prefer to get away from the people and enjoy the view in silence. The vastness is powerfully present all around.
To end the tour, a spectacular coffee-shop invited us to have a delicious drink as we continued beholding the majestic scenery caught from the top of Campanario Hill in awe.
